Well, I got a laugh out of the "sense of humor" part anyway!!

I went away, in part, because it was getting so ugly here. Since I switched jobs ( I now work full time on the psych ward and part time in the med/surg/cardiac ward), I have been given glimpses into some really terrible lives. My family, my home, my garden and critters - they are all my sanctuary - I can stay upbeat at work, but I sure don't want to come home and shove ugly behavior in my own face. Same reason I don't watch TV.

So anyway, I'll be lurking off and on; and maybe I'll come back soon with a happy little story 'bout life here on the farm.
