Hello, I've finally got a chance to see the new season of Junkyard Wars, and let me say I was a little disappointed. What happened to the great british guy co-host.Why would you try Americanize a perfectly go show. I don't mind the contestants being Americans, but that co-host just doesn't have that British flare. Please tell me why you changed host, and do you think It was a smart choice?

I am sort of new to the show. I don't really have a response to this thread, but I wanted to add to it.

I just started watching the show, religiously the last several months, and I was looking for some place to say the same thing about the new season. Is it because it is "Americanized" now - the host is part of it - but it almost seems like it lost it's edge. Hopefully, it will return to the way it used to be?

Still more interesting than the other "garbage" on TV.

I am disappointed also. Being a loyal fan of Junkyard Wars, I was sad to see the American guy co-hosting the show. I'm very disappointed. The british hosts complemented each other greatly, which really made the show work!

It just doesn't have the same chemistry now, and the way he kept mispronouncing 'punkins' was a little embarassing. I'm sure the logistics of having one set of hosts film two different series in two different countries simultaneously are huge though. I'm guessing that having this American series filmed in the U.S. was partly to provide the teams with junk they're more 'familiar' with, but I thought the Techno-nerds did okay with British Junk. Maybe someone should reconsider the whole U.S. based series idea.

Barry... Punkin is a slang term for pumpkin. Thats what the society of Punkin Chuckers call it......Ya know, Like a (brewski) is really a beer.I'm on a team which will be on Wed. Jan. 10th...."Art Attack". We ( the American teams) went to London and built all this stuff in the same junkyard as the Brits. The same production team and directors too. Just watch the rest of the series before writing it off.....
