Bring Back Robert Llewellyn!

-- Douglas Carmichael (dcarmich@xnet.com), January 04, 2001.

Bring Robert back! The show is not the same. I used to love it, but without the Brittish flavor its aweful. The new guy is ignorant and seems like he should be seen on Nickelodeon or something. Why ruin the show? PLEASE STOP TAPING ANG GO BACK TO THE OLD FORMAT! SAME PEOPLE, NEW CHALLENGES! (New teams are alright, but for God's sake, keep the hosts the same!!!!!)

Signed,

Irate viewer

Bring back Robert Llewellyn he is so much better than the new stupid guy.

-- patrick long (plong@prairienet.org), January 04, 2001.

I thought the original male host was a bit goofy, but now I realize that is one or the reasons that made the show so intriguing. His white suit would be trashed by the end of the show-that is so real- original and likeable. The new guy is generic-Bring back Robert - I miss him, the original shows format was better.

-- J. Williams (jcwilly@alltel.net), January 04, 2001.

Please, dear Lord bring Robert back! This new guy is so lame! Roberts scruffy impishness is dearly missed! He ruins the great British flavor of the show! Robert is awesome, bring him back!

Bring Robert back as soon as possible. I loved him as Kryten, and he was one of the reasons I watch JYW now. He seemed so out-of-place in among all those mechanical parts and dirt, it just worked. We have only seen the show on TLC for two seasons now, it will be a while before it runs any risk of becoming stale. Moving it to the US was a surprise, those puns just won't work without those accents.

Is there any real difference between Hot Rods and Dragsters? Or a Pumpkin Gun and a Rugby Ball Gun?

Dumping Robert and re-hashing the same contests at the same time could kill the series.

Re-negotiate his contract, get him over here, whatever it takes.

-- Matt Bagshaw (cadman88@hotmail.com), January 04, 2001.

Bring him back!

-- Steve (family@schweitzer.net), January 04, 2001.

I can't live without Kryton! Bring him back! Oh dear god what have you done?!

-- Richard Manahan (rjcyclesk8@hotmail.com), January 04, 2001.

PLEASE bring him and the original music for the intro back!

-- John Eaton (auggie_26@excite.com), January 04, 2001.

I agree, bring back Robert and the original music! Please!!!!!

-- Scott Heller (sniggle_t@usa.net), January 04, 2001.

We want Robert! Half the fun of watching the original shows was listening to my Texas kids figuring out the Brittish colloquialisms.

-- Red (splash76@homemail.com), January 04, 2001.

I would like Robert back because the guy on the show now doesn't have the same umph as Robert did.

-- Archie Chaisson,III (cobra137@dublin.com), January 04, 2001.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHAT IS THE HOLD UP!! GET ROBERT BACK!!

-- DOUG SZARZYNSKI (DSARSKI@AOL.COM), January 04, 2001.

ROBERT!

-- L (lrl@ou.edu), January 04, 2001.

The new US host is lame. The best part about the show was Cathy AND Robert. Bring Robert back!

-- Matt Rice (rice@geog.ucsb.edu), January 04, 2001.

I'm an American and proud of it, but this Americanization of one of my favorite shows has got to stop!!! Robert was great, the challenges were great and the show was the best! It was smart, funny, and worthwhile. Now it's like somebody replaced my aged sharp cheddar with a slab of orange processed American. Please don't kill this show!! It's too good to flop.

-- John Grimes (jgrimes99@hotmail.com), January 04, 2001.

I am Canadian and seen the new host for the first time last night. I have to agree with everyone here, the new host needs to go!

-- Kirsten Olesen (kolesen@miranada.net), January 04, 2001.

Please keep it British and bring back the opening music.

-- barefoots (shertzler@hotmail.com), January 04, 2001.

Absolutely! What I loved so much about the show as well as Robert was the fact that it wasn't American!Bring Robert back!Pay him whatever he wants!

-- Phillip Barrington (megavybe@coolnet.net), January 04, 2001.

What's going on here? This new host is far too "MTV" for his own good. PLEASE bring back Robert Llewellyn!!!

-- Daryn Wilmeth (darynw@yahoo.com), January 04, 2001.

I was so disappointed in last night's two shows with the new American host. Please bring back Robert and the British flavour of the show. I honestly was embarrassed that I had recently recommended the show to people, as the new Americanized version is so inferior. If it continues in this vein, I will no longer be watching...although I will check in occasionally in hope that the show has returned to the British version.

-- Skyler Walker (tangly@pacifier.com), January 04, 2001.

Oh my god! Cathy Rogers.....WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!?!?!?!?! Get rid of this George freak, he is ruining the show for everyone! LONG LIVE Robert Llewellyn. Him and Cathy made a GREAT TEAM!

-- Marc Fontaine (mjfontaine@usa.net), January 04, 2001.

There is little or no chemistry between the new host & Cathy. Not that this is an attack on the man's character. He simply has a different approach toward people. Robert has a more open charisma that helped the show move along at a much better pace.

-- Jon Home (jam-cat@usa.net), January 04, 2001.

Yup, bring back the brit.

-- Jeremy Phillippe (cannabis@home.com), January 04, 2001.

BRING BACK ROBERT LLEWELLYN!!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!

-- Ryley Felver (CSjACKhANDEY@aol.com), January 04, 2001.

Please! Go back to the way it was. The new host is terrible (he reminds me of the idiot who hosts the movies on NBC), and the teams didn't seem that swift, either. I don't mind American teams (although a Canadian team would be grand) like the N.E.R.D.S, but both of last nights teams were pretty bad (especially with the bickering! Reminded me of Survivor).

Bring Robert back!

-- Graham Ballantyne (gballant@sfu.ca), January 04, 2001.

I just started watching "Junkyard Wars," but I still enjoy the series. I think the best part was when Cathy and Robert went up to the teams and provided some distraction. There chemistry together made the show likable and drew the viewer in. Now, the show seems to lack something. The new host seems to try his best to be funny, but sometimes it just doesn't work. Bring back Robert and go back to the way the show was before.

-- Chris Barna (tobias_recluse@yahoo.com), January 04, 2001.

Why change something that works? The show was cut edge and everything worked well together. Now it just seems like something is missing and I believe it's the old host. I don't like people getting fired , but the show is just not working with this new guy. I hope the British flare gets added back!

-- Matt DeWitt (ou8122@winco.net), January 04, 2001.

Bring back Robert you RDF Idiots I quote "If it ain't broke don't Americanize it" ok you dorks at RDF There you lesson for the day you made someting good "Crufty" look it up in the New Hackers Dictonary

-- Andrew Young (eminem_13_00_2000@eminem.com), January 04, 2001.

Bring Robert back yes but also move the show back to England!!! Replace the music with the old and stop giving them all those chances to 'pratice' before the challange!!! Why must TV executives try to Americanize everything? No one in this house will be watching anymore.

-- Jason R. Streebel (jrsgunters@capecod.net), January 04, 2001.

Yes, please bring Robert back... the chemistry between Cathy and Robert was superb....

-- Dan K. (bunnkwio@hotmail.com), January 05, 2001.

Sod the Yanks! Bring back the Brit, you gits!

-- Richard Manahan (rjcyclesk8@hotmail.com), January 05, 2001.

It aint gonna happen for this series, for god's sake - don't repeat The Mistake! Bring Robert back , and kudos to Cathy for trying her best to save the show! I will continue to watch - but it was bad bad - very bad - very very bad *shudder*

-- Chris Wilson (cwilson@thk.com), January 05, 2001.

Bring back Robert! He and Cathy made a great team, they were funny, and knowledgable about what was going on.

-- Jay Lopes (lope9578@uidaho.edu), January 05, 2001.

It wasn't broke, why did you try to "fix" it? Why the overbright lighting? Why the crappy, boring, talk show style editing? Why the typical, pretty, American "dude" instead of Robert, who made me laugh all the time? That guy should be doing toothpaste commercials, not be in my face on JW. The show used to have flavor, but now it is as vanilla as everything else on American television.

-- Jodie Pierce (madmacks@bigfoot.com), January 05, 2001.

I agree. BRING BACK ROBERT. The show just isn't the smae without him. He and Cathy just made the show more fun. The n ew guy is'nt funny and the reusing of previous projects is going to ruin it.

-- J.A. Smith (darksafire@qwest.net), January 05, 2001.

Get Robert back ASAP. This new guy is just as annoying as Bob Saggat, but not as funny.....ya right, they both suck.

PS. I'm looking for a welder to join my team...any takers? :)

-- Matt Wilson (mpwilsonis@home.com), January 05, 2001.

Hey all you brits out there: I'm one of those DAMN yanks you keep whining about and guess what? I say Bring Robert Llewellyn Back! so there; stop your "bloody" blubberin and be glad someone sticks up for ya.

P.S. i've got a mean accent so dont you be surprised if the next guy u see on the show happens to be me!

-- Steve Maresca USA (lightyear4@snet.net), January 06, 2001.

I'm in. The show needs Robert "Big Time"

-- Diogenes (twobristols@yahoo.com), January 06, 2001.

I want Robert back!! I miss his hilarious chiding of the contestants and his beeping noise

-- Patrick Alonzi (patalonzi@aol.com), January 06, 2001.

My wife and I watch the show every week. The new guy is a cross between Mr. Roger and Bill and Ted('s excellent adventures.) Move him to Monday Night Football to make a really bad team with Dennis Miller and bring back Robert.

-- Ron Berg (Farmall@gte.net), January 08, 2001.

ROBERT!!!

-- H. Stanely (hemi12@hotmail.com), January 20, 2001.

Please show the new episodes of Scrapheap Challenge (that is supposed to only be seen in the UK) instead of the new Junkyard Wars with someother host. Robert is really best; you can't get any better. It'd be much appreciated.

-- Dani Zuckett (misspeace7@hotmail.com), February 20, 2001.

Robert is boring... Time for all you weasels to wake up and smell the tea!

-- John Gap (mindthegap64@hotmail.com), February 20, 2001.

Robert is one of the best parts of the show. The new guy just tries too hard.

-- Daniel Gallant (dgallant@startech.com), February 21, 2001.

Wake up and smell the coffee. They are building up to doing shows on both sides of the Atlantic (correct?). That means they need TWO hosts (or host teams), and getting George to 'apprentice' for a season is not a bad way to do things. Robert took a while to get into the swing of things too (check out the first season's shows that are currently airing on TLC). As far as challenge topics goes, it's not that easy to come up with inventive challenging ideas every week, is it? Having a re-run of an earlier topic is actually interesting because most of the new teams will have seen the earlier broadcast and formed some opinions of how they would have done it.

-- Theo Smit (tsmit@home.com), February 21, 2001.

you get him back tiger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
