Why was Bob Llewellyn Sacked?

Why was Robert Llewellyn sacked? Or why did he back out of another season of JYW? This guy MADE the show. What? Did he get a better offer from Great Performances or something? How could Llewellyn do any better than Junkyard Wars?

Well you see.... The original Series witch is still being made is called Scrapheap Challenge. The hosts were Robert and Cathy. When they brodcast the show on TLC they Shanged the graphics at the start of the show and called it Junkyard Wars. Seeing as the British version did so well in the US they decided that it could do even better if it was americanized. And so they re-made Junkyard Wars with a new American host and American Teams. So Robert and Cathy are still hosting Scrapheap Challenge as they always were its just that it is not being broadcast here. The new American version is in it's place... rrrr... Belive it or not the new "American" version was shot in the same scrapheap in the UK.

No way is it the same junkyard. It is quite similar but you will never convince me that they took out all the european cars and replaced them with american ones, then made it smaller, then built a couple of buildings nearby just to fool us, do you?

Scrapheaps are NOT the same. The UK scrapheap was in the London area. Wasn't the US one somewhere in California??

It really is the same yard. I have spend a hell of a lot of time in the yard, and they are the same spot. REALLY.

One big pile is much better than two small ones, and rather than move theirs here, we sent ours there.

Why were there so many american cars in the heap? Did the producers arrange to have them shipped over? Is the new US series (to be taped this summer) going to be in Calif?

You can find US cars in the UK. Some are imported by car nuts, and are junked when they require major structural work to keep them road legal. The rest are brought over at US taxpayer expense by servicemen. They get junked when they need repairs, and reality in the form of noticing that the gas prices really are that high, and the road are really that narrow.
