If you're considering ordering items from Major Surplus& Survival of Gardena,CA-don't be in a hurry to receive it ! I'm waiting 3+ months for stuff,the company hasn't responded to written queries,their telephone operators are ZERO help.

Same here. They have always been helpful. One suggestion call the store direct and ask them what the hold up is. Catalog operator is in different location than actual shipping point. (or least they were in 2000).

I find them one of the better suppliers and have never had a problem that could not be resolved with a single phone call. By any chance are you waiting for some out of stock item. A lot of their stuff is limited supply items from Europe and the boat does take a while to get here. :>)

I will never order from Major Surplus again. Two months ago, I ordered clothing from them. They didn't send half of the items, yet they billed me. The items they did send were not the sizes that Major's represented them to be. They eventually took them back, but I ended up spending aobut $25 shipping their defective clothing back and forth. I've had it with them.

Welcome to the world of drop shipping!A lot of what sportsman's guide and major surplus and survival sell they don't ever warehouse they just are middle men.Try your local surplus guy.Unless he all ready went out of business because of too good to be true mail order companies.
