Please tell me there is still an English version. How could this happen?

Yes, there are now two different shows. Scrapheap Challenge, the British version (shown under the title Junkyard Wars in the US) and the new American series also confusingly shown in the US under the title Junkyard Wars. Scrapheap Challenge will be back with a 4th season later in the year.
