Associated PressBURBANK -- A twin engine turbo-prop cargo plane made an emergency landing at the Burbank airport early Friday after the pilot reported a possible hydraulic problem.
The plane landed safely at 5:36 a.m. with no injuries to the two-member crew, said Chad Makovsky, the operations supervisor on duty for Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport.
Makovsky said the plane, an Embraer Brasilia, was approaching Burbank to land as planned when the pilot noticed a possible problem and asked to make a precautionary landing, meaning an emergency-crew request in case of problems.
There was none on hand, though mechanics later checked the plane, Makovsky said. He said he was not sure what led the pilot to believe there might be a problem. He also did not know the plane's point of origin. http://www.dailynewslosangeles.com/archives/2000/12/30/new09.asp
