greenspun.com : LUSENET : Camera Equipment : One Thread

I just acquired a Rollieflex.. I am used to a Yashica D. Anywho, My problem is that when I am winding the film to the next frame on the Yasica, it stops when the frame has loaded. Now with this Rollie, I cant seem to make it stop on the frame, it has the crank lever system.....can any one help?

The Rolleiflex is different to load from the Yashica: Open the back and you will notice two thin silver rollers running across the film track near the square negative aperture. You must thread the film leader BETWEEN the two rollers, not over them. You will also notice that there is no mark inside the camera to line up the arrow on the paper backing. This is because the rollers automatically detect the beginning of the film on the paper and the counter then starts by itself.

Once you have it loaded correctly, everything should work fine (this happened to me the first time I loaded a Rollei too).
