looking for early 1900 skyscraper construction site photo

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Buy/Sell/Trade : One Thread

Hi all

I am looking for a classis black and white photo I had seen approx two years ago.

The black & white classic is of workers at a construction site of a sky-scraper in the early 1900s, sitting on a metal bar, suspended in mid air very high up. The handfull of workers are opening lunch boxes and sharing coffee from flasks with the mist of the city below in the background.

My only thought is that this was the construction of a New York skyscraper.

plse assist

I am online looking for the same photo, but it has been tough to find. If it helps, I think it was taken by a man named Lewis Hine.

Good luck

I believe the building is the Rockefeller Center, artist unknown, 1932. I do not believe that it is part of the hine collection.
