(Remote) control of VCD-slideshow on TV.

Dear VCD'rs, you have learned me a lot through your messages and reactions. Maybe you can help me with the following problem, although it is not a very serious one.

I have successfully made slideshows of stills using the burning software of Nero5 and WinOnCD3.7. I do have a problem with the somewhat flattened pictures on the TV-screen as I reported earlier. I did received valuable advice to solve that problem and am going to try it. This time I am not asking your advice for that problem, but I need your suggestions for another one. It concernes the remote control of the DVD player during the showing of the pictures.

First I give some introductory information. I prefer WinOnCD over Nero for the production of slideshows, because WinOnCD allows you to make better menus. The player I use is the DVD-unit Pioneer-525. It accepts all kinds of CD-RW's and CD-R's I have been using. When playing the slideshow I can select an album with its slides by its number. You then get a screen with the first series of 12 (twelf) thumbnails. If you have e.g. 60 stills in that album the first screen with thumbnails is numbered 1/5. When I try to advance with the next button to screen 2/5 it does not do so. Whatever button I try, none works. Once you have chosen the number of a slide within the first thumnail-screen you can use the next and previous buttons correctly to go forward (or backward) to the next (or previous) slide. Thus the next/previous button do work correctly when advancing slides, but not when advansing thumnail-screens.

Question: Has any one experienced the same problem? Is it a problem; do I something wrong? Is it a shortcoming of WinOnCD or the Pioneer-525?

TYIA, with friendly greetings, Eppo R. Kooi.

yes I have the same problem. I have the same DVD player. Try selecting picture #12. Let it go to #13 and then hit the RETURN button. You will now bw in thumbnail 2 of 5. That is the only way I have been able to skip to the next sequence

the new version WinOnCd 3.8 has fixed this problem, you can now scroll thru the entire thumbnail slides in each album and jump wherever you want using the return/previous/next commands or buttons.

Actually, I still have this exact problem using WinOnCD 3.8 and my Pioneer DV525.
