The USA model, Rebel 2000 is sold as the EOS 300 in most of the world. The 500 is the same as the Rebel X(s), the 500N is the same as the Rebel G.

There is also a 5000 and (I believe) a 3000. They seem to be dumbed down versions of the 500, but they're not normaly sold in the USA.
