Post Election talk

Wow. It's good to see this is finally over. BenJos, a hearty congratulations heading your win as Tournament Coordinator, and I wish you the best of luck making the tournament just as fun as it was in the past two tournies that I had the honour to participate in. Thanks goes out to Lagavulin, who has already emailed me some great plans for what KoA2 might be (great work, Lagavulin!). Another thanks goes out to the rest of MARP for having the confidence in myself and the others that either have been voted for, or are being voted for again. I know that all who are voted in will try their hardest to satisfy MARP any way they can.

Now then, I want to get a little personal / comical. As the first decree in power, I demand all MARPers to finally call me what I asked them to call me back in June; "God". *JOKING* That was to put emphasis that I hope that none of us let the "power" go to their heads, and that even if this is different teams (regulation, KoA, tournament, etc.), that we can work together if needed. I also want to jokingly say that no one should worry about the games in KoA being only Burger Time (gb9, you can call me on the violation later :) ).

One last thing, and this is partially joking around, partially not: many naysayers will draw similarities between George "Dubya" Bush and myself; however, if I'm called "Dee", I will slap you with a large trout.

Thanks again to all the MARPers! Have a safe and happy holiday, and an even happier new year!

Sincerely,

J.D. Lowe

Hmm... I think I am noticing a pattern here. JD's userID is "jedidrunkenllama" and he got elected for something. Lagavulin loves whiskey and he got elected for something. I love coffee flavoured brandy and I got elected for something.

Anyway, thank you all for the vote of confidence. I guess I should start reading this board again soon.

And last, but certainly not least, thanks to Gameboy for coordinating the past 5 tournaments. Good luck with the Olympiad!

Cheers, Down the hatch, Ben Jos.
