Hello! CLICK HERE for the ROUGH AUDIO DEMO VERSION of my new parody. It is rough because I used a KAROAKE TAPE for the background music. So at THE CHORUS you will hear the guys in the background singing THE ORIGINAL WORDS mixed in with my parody CHORUS, which will sound like someone speaking in tongues... So what you have to do is "SING ALONG" at the CHORUS to help drown out the original script. HERE IS THE CHORUS:

Bye, bye, Mr. Al Gore bye bye
you were counting on a recount
But we counted three times
And them good old boys were getting sick of your sighs
Singing this'll be the day that I cry
This'll be the day that I cry..

Election Pie

Long, long time ago,
I can still remember
How elections used to make me proud,
And I knew if I had my chance
I could make a difference
And with my vote I could stand out in the crowd

But this November made me bitter
Every recount I consider
Bad news of the Gore count
I couldn't take one more count!

I can't remember if I whined
When Al Gore would come back from behind
Something snapped inside my mind
The day the voters cried

So bye, bye, Mr. Al Gore bye bye
you were counting on a recount
But we counted three times
And them good old boys were getting sick of your sighs
Singing this'll be the day that I cry
This'll be the day that I cry..

Was your life a Novelette
And did you create the internet?
The liberal media tells me so
Now do you believe in gun control?
Did Buddhists pad your billfold, and
Can you teach me Fuzzy Math real slow?

Well I know that you're in bed with them
Cuz I saw the bucks they're kicking in
You both were in cahoots
But I did not get all the clues
I was a lone hardworking American guy
Looking for a piece of the American pie
But I knew I was not franchised
The day the voters cried

Now for eight years we've been far away,
And time goes slow on election day, but
That's not the way things ought to be
When GW ran against Al the King
With a song he borrowed from our dreams
And a vote, well it came from you and me
And while the king was dumbing down
GW claimed his royal crown
The court rooms would confirm
No recount worth concern

And while Clinton read a book on Marx
The hopes and chads were hanging hard
And we punched dimples in the dark
The day the voters cried

And they were singing
Bye, bye, Mr. Al Gore bye bye
you were counting on a recount
But we counted three times
And them good old boys were getting sick of your sighs
Singing this'll be the day that I cry
This'll be the day that I cry..

Helter Skelter in a summer swelter
Al Gore came out of his fallout shelter
Polls were high, but fallin fast
Landing on the cash
The voters cried for a lower tax
And with Limbaugh, with his sidelines broadcast
And as I watched on his web page,
My hands were clenched in fists of rage
No liberal born in hell
Could speak the truth so well
Hey, and while flames fly high into the night
To light the pens of the press in fright
I saw Hillary laughing with delight
The day the voters cried

And they were singing
Bye, bye, Mr. Al Gore bye bye
you were counting on a recount
But we counted three times
And them good old boys were getting sick of your sighs
Singing this'll be the day that I cry
This'll be the day that I cry..

At the ball we could all wear one face
Inauguration marked our space, with
Still time left to start again
So come on George be nimble, George and Dick
The truth is back-- you gotta make it stick, cuz
Liars are the liberals only friends

Election air was sweet perfume
While Shanklin sang a victory tune
We all got up to dance
Oh, I thought we'd never get the chance

As the new team tried to take the field
The democrats refused to yield
Do you recall what was the deal
The day the voters cried

And they were singing
Bye, bye, Mr. Al Gore bye bye
you were counting on a recount
But we counted three times
And them good old boys were getting sick of your sighs
Singing this'll be the day that I cry
This'll be the day that I cry..

I knew a man who read the news
And I asked him for un-biased views
He just smiled and turned away
So I went back to the Senate floor
Where I heard the truth there years before
But the men there said the truth just didn't pay
The silence was so loud it seemed
The patriots cried and poets screamed
But not a word was spoken
The truth was just a token

And the three men I admire the most
Bush, Gates, and Rush the talk-show host
They all said "See, I told you so"
The day the voters cried

And they were singing
Bye, bye, Mr. Al Gore bye bye
you were counting on a recount
But we counted three times
And them good old boys were getting sick of your sighs
Singing this'll be the day that I cry
This'll be the day that I cry..
