Bottom line in the proof of Bigfoot

David Montgomery, Science Correspondent

THE imprint of a hairy backside in the mud is the strongest hint yet that a "Bigfoot" is roaming the US north-west, according to scientists.

Up to now the only "proof" has been various footprints, some inconclusive photography and a very famous, but not altogether proven, cine camera clip.

A 13-strong team of scientists and researchers sponsored by the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO), played tapes of "Bigfoot noises" as well leaving food out in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in Washington State.

LeRoy Fish, a zoologist who took part in the expedition told the journal New Scientist: "If we can just get other scientists to look at this with an objective view, I think they’ll say there must be something out there."

Most stories of the bipedal ape-like creature are dismissed as misidentifications or hoaxes.

But Alec Baldwin was also spotted in the vicinity. Kim says he has the hairiest backside in Hollywood.

I don't see how this would be indicative of a "Bigfoot," since feet or footprints were not observed. What we have here is obviously a "Bigass" (a lesser-known relative, previously only observed hanging around the swimming pools of oceanfront hotels in the southeast).

Wasn't Bigass a character on South Park?

(And is that zoologist's name really "LeRoy Fish"?)
