strange problem occurs during joining

Hello, I have ran into a strange problem and have not been able to find an answer. I have read the post and nothing seems to fit my problem. Here's my problem. I capture video clips and convert them using tmpgenc and everythings fine. I then edit the(take out the commericals, shorten, etc) and everythings fine. When I try to join the clips(same video source, same convertion template, etc) my audio to video gets screwed up. I have tried demux and mux them, did not work. It only occurs when I try to combine clips and it only occurs when doing svcd, I have not once had this problem with vcd's. It does not do this all the time. Could it be something in the shows I recorded off tv themselves( I don't think so, but).

What other programs out there can combine, cut, edit clips that does not reduce the quality? thanks Ryan email: rgs80074@cfl.rr.com

I would do all the editing first and then encode...

hey Ryan, the sync is very in place. i do extreme checks for that as i had some problems in the past. i too was thinking that maybe the sync was out (and if it is we are talking less then whatever would be a micro second to the point of unnoticeable). Here is also why i do not think the sync is the problem (again the sync is fine). i have one clip and i joined it with a 5 second black clip (recorded black space from tv) it beeps. I also did an edit of begining to end with the clip and it still beeped and for 5 seconds i highly doubt thier is any sync issue. i then tried to join the first clip with a much longer clip and it worked fine. Also the stuff was already encoded with the tmpg before joining and its perfect. i think their just may be more to it.---
