Terrapin VHS VCD converter

Does anyone have experience with the video quality of the new Terrapin VHS tape to VCD converter? For about $600, does seem like a cost-effective way to convert VHS to VCD?

I HAVE HAD EXTENSIVE USE & TESTING WITH THIS MACHINE. IT DELIVERS DECENT VCD QUALITY. BUT IT'S RECORDING PLAY ON VERY FEW DVD'S, AND ARE BEST PLAYED ON THE TERRAPIN DECK. I GOT SUCKERED AT A CONVENTION WHEN THE SALESMAN TOLD ME THEY WERE COMING OUT WITH BLANK CD'S THAT WOULD HOLD 150 MINUTES! I'M NOT HAPPY WITH IT, AND I CONTINUE TO EXPLORE MAKING THE PERFECT VCDS UNTIL THE DVD RECORDERS GIVE ME A BETTER OPTION. I HOPE I WAS A HELP TO YOU.
