Today was the LAST day you would be alive.....

What would you do and why?

I hope that seeing this post isn't a sign. I was asking myself this same question earlier today. The first things I'd do would be to clarify my genealogy notes and ship my family history disk off the the Family History Library in Salt Lake. That way, all the information I've acquired won't be lost and will be available for the next generation of genealogists. I would also leave out my will on my desk so that it's easy to find, and I would make sure that my animals have a place to go so that they don't end up in the shelter.

Then I would go around forgiving anyone I was mad at, asking for forgiveness, and telling friends I haven't seen for awhile how much they mean to me.

Lastly, I'd go to a health spa and have a full body massage and my hair dyed blond, and if I were still alive after that, I'd have dinner with my closest friends.

Raven: FULL body massage, ahhhhhh!!!!

Very thought provoking thread, even if I did start it myself.

I guess the important thing is to have a will made. I lost a friend a few days ago and attended his wake last night. He was 45 years old. He did not have a will and I know I need to make one also.

I dont have much a lil home and some furniture and 2 cars. A lil and I mean a lil bit of cash not even nuff for the boys to fight bout.

My only worry would be my oldest. I dont wish to outlive him, but If I'm not here, I worry IF he goes into full blown portion of his disease.

I would pay up his life insurance for 30 years also. As for making up to people, I dont have many enemies that I know of. Xcept my ex and he wont/cant speak to me. Other than that, I'd wish to fly to where it is warm, grand canyon perhaps, look at God's beauty and veg with my hubby after saying adios to my sons and grandbaby.

I'd like to say something flip here, about how I'd go sky diving or moon Bob Barr, but honestly, I would probably spend the day at the beach with my fiance, my guitar, and our dogs.

Before I met my girlfriend, I would've answered, Go Fishing. Now, I'd do something with her. I'll ask her this question over dinner tonight.

Sumer, all adults need a will, IMHO. Ohio recognizes holograph wills. I typed out mine and had it witnessed by the bank manager and vice president at the bank where I normally do business. Since I don't have children or a wife (yet), compiling this simple one-page document cost me nothing but a little time. Yet, it will avoid fights among my relatives down the road if I kick off unexpectedly. There are also will kits available in the book stores for a few bucks, but I'd see a lawyer if yours goes over one page.

Good question, btw! Have an excellent weekend. I'm off to various computer shows if the weather holds, or cracking ice on sidewalks if it doesn't.
