I haven't seen all the UK episodes, I'm on the other side of the pond, Boston area in fact (used to sell at the MIT Flea market -- GO NERDS!

How about the old "pull and go" toy cars we all had as kids? They could design something that you had to pull back, store the energy, and then release it (and a driver?) and see who can go the farthest.

How about a fork lift or other lifting device? How much can they lift before it breaks or topple over?
