Lars was right

I am always one to admit when I was wrong. Just before the election I gave a football analogy, with Gore hitting Lieberman in the end zone with time expired. Lars responded that what would really happen was Gore would be scrambling and be sacked by Bush in the backfield. In my opinion, I would credit the US Supreme court with the sack-or perhaps, they each get half a sack!

When I imagined the game scenario, I knew it would be close. Little did I know it would go into 35 periods of overtime. I am not here to expostulate on what happened; I am here merely to say to my fellow Jerseyan(at least originally) YOU WERE RIGHT>

Nice job FutureShock. Very magnanimous of you to say so!

FS,

Thank you for your humble acknowledgement. I heard one of the talking- heads make a good football mataphor after the original FSSC ruling. He likened that to a hail-Mary pass that was caught by Gore at the 5 yard line. I guess Bush got the ball back and thru a hail Mary of his own with help of the USSC.

All I know for sure is that I'm glad it's over.

Except of course it's never over.

There's slways the chance of the cheerleaders(JJ and the NAACP) calling the crowd to a riot to throw out the refs(USSC) and declare a Sudden Death.

Jesse Jackson in a cheerleaders uniform - now that would be good for a laugh. Can any of you photoshop prodigies work your magic?

John, that was the sudden death. Five weeks of sudden death.
