I haven't every post for the last week, but I can't help but notice that Hoot is not here. Hoot, where are you, did I miss something?

-- Cathy Horn (hrnofplnty@yahoo.com), December 09, 2000.

I've been wondering where Hoot is also. I hope he is not sick. I would venture to say he has been rather disgusted in some of the threads recently and maybe he's just staying away.

Hey peepoles! Boy, a body can't even die without stirrin up the whole forum!!!! I have been fightin a little problem with the old ticker the last couple weeks or so. We [ole jeep and I ] have been really busy installin those wood boilers. Couple times I overdid it and really came close to meetin my Lord. I still haven't learned all the things I can and cannot do. Inadvertantly overdoin it and had to pay the price. I was not offended by anything or anybody on the forum. The posts that don't look like I should open them--I don't! I've probably missed some "good stuff" but then again maybe my old feeble brain didn't need to know everything anyhow. I was kinda accused of bein a "know it all" awhile back and really I don't know it all.LOL. Nopee, I'm not mad, offended or anything of the sort. I'm humbled by y'all that's concerned bout the old illinois hillbilly tho. My old brane is knda runnin on empty right now anyhow. The genset we were attempting to put into production by the middle of Nov is now on hold indefinately. Can't get the parts at a reasonable cost---so--I'll just keep lookin. In the meantime we are also attempting to design a new woodburning boiler for ma nufacture. Don't know anything about if it'll be feasable or not. Got our new business web page up now and it's lookin real good. www.countryboyenterprises.com. Built by my 15 year old nephew!! Well anyhow, Glory to God, I'm still alive and kickin so don't ya'll worry too much. I'll be buggin ya'll shortly. Matt. 24:44

Hoot -- what are you doing overdoing it? You're as bad as my dad, you just can't stand back and let others do the work, can you?

Really, take care of yourself. As you can see, a lot of us around here miss you when you're not around!!!

For crying out loud, Hoot, you can't die now...we ain't done with ya yet! For real, though, don't work so hard that you hurt yourself. That's God's way of saying it's fine where it is.

Ok, Hoot, I aint been here long enough to know you too well, and from some of the stuff I HAVE read from ya, we probably would disagree on lots of stuff. But I also feel like you know how much all we humans have in common, how much we can share, how many different ways we can love each other, and I feel a perplexin comaraderie to ya anyways. So, just so's ya know, Earthmama is willin and waitin to share (both ways, I'm hopin') whatever we can of what we have learned here in on this journey. Blessings to you and yours............

Hoot, now you just stop doing things that might hurt you! Ya had us all worried sick about you. I was about to try to find your phone number through the spy network just to make sure you were okay. Thank God you are okay!!!! Love you, Hoot,

Hoot, Take care of yourself. I'm gonna have a lot of questions for you sometime on small gens. My wife bought a radio/flashlight/siren that runs on solar/battery/ cranck genset. When I refered to it as our "Hoot Gibson Emergancy Radio" she told me if she catches me with a screwdriver in it, I'll be seeing an ER doctor or the undertaker. Take it easy, look forward to your recovery.

To elaborate just a little bit more. I wasn't tryin to evade any questions--was just tired when I answered. I have a small artery that's clogged on tother side of a bypass graft. It's too small to do anything with as well as on the other side of the graft and unreachable with angiplastia thingy. So---I gotta live with it. Very much of the wrong kind of exertion is best to be avoide, if possible. I was usin a pick ax helpin ole jeep dig a ditch one day. The other time I was helpin lift heavy stuff--over 200 #'s. [Why not, I used to pick up anything I wanted to?] When I was wired together about a month after the "chest choppin" I was loadin concrete blocks and "pulled" a wire. I have a place about 2" long where the breast bone didn't heal and is held together with that blasted wire. It's ALWAYS sore! When I lift it does something in thar that jest ain't purty! Scar starts to bleed inside my innards alongside the scar. Right leg where they took about 30" of vein is still sore and leg is weak--left chest-mammery artery was used for two grafts---muscle there is weak too. Well ----now ya know. I may be beat up and sore but I'm still alive---Praise God! Besides all that I'm still purty and have a full head of BLACK hair! har har. I'm really tryin to take it easy but don't know just what all I can do. I'm findin out what I can't do almost every day. Anyhow--if I should just "hump up and die" don't feel too badly for me. I'll be skippin along on the streets of pure gold--hand in hand with my Jesus! Oh, BTW-somebody above said they were thinkin about lookin for my phone number. It's on my business web page--along with my addy. Be cool dudes and thanks for all the concern. I'm humbled by ya'lls worry'n. Matt. 24:44

Hoot, I hope you take care of yourself and stick around for a while -- we need our oldtimers yet!! But when it's time for you to go home, I will look forward to meeting you on those golden streets someday -- what a family reunion that will be, with all God's children together for the first time!!
