I tend to be more forgiving of insensitive comments made by the people you overheard. I guess I realize that until you've experienced it, there is absolutely no way you can know what it's like. It makes me feel sad, but it doesn't fill me with anger.

What fills me with a white-hot rage is bigotry...any negative thought or action against a group of people just because of the group to which they belong. The intolerance of some people. The refusal to treat whole groups of people as anything but less than human. That is what fills me with anger ("rage" may be too strong a term, since I think of myself as non-violent) and will move me to action.

Ignorance. But even more so, the cherishing of ignorance by people who fight against becoming educated, or learning other points of view, or just growing as a person. I think it is this self cherishing that leads to the insensitivity Al described, as well as bigotry, war, and hate.

Cruelty in any form. The present political situation here causing laughter and derision in other countries -- dammit, we are supposed to be the prime example of PURE democracy. And white hot rage about my inability to do anything to correct those things.

Bullying. To see the strong trample the weak fills me with a murderous rage in which there is no conscience at all. At least twice I have been mere inches from killing someone. I studiously avoid exposing myself to the sight of these things, so as to not provoke a fight.

Its been a long time since I felt white hot rage..(I think I must be lacking) It would be injustice, bigotry. anything that takes away the innocense of a child or causes great emotional or physical harm to them. Dishonesty is a big one for me. Last year I had a very painful emotional experience that has changed my life..I did not feel anger - only shock and a deep anguishing pain & sorrow. Anger would be better.
