It' a part of a collection called "Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque" published 1n 1840. Originally written between 1838 and 1839.

Gosh, doesn't anyone know how to read anymore? Even this web site has documented that The Tell Tale Heart was written in 1843. I, myself, found that it was written in January, 1843 published in a magazine.
