Not bad; only got two wrong.

But do you have to get all of them correct?

Cool, I took it and I can stay here.

-- Uncle Deedah (unkeed@yahoo.com), December 01, 2000.

I got them all right.

Pretty easy, actually, anyone who can't get most of these answers probably needs to go back to Civics 101.

Uh, Tarzan, got a course recommendation?

Looks around in UTTER disgust.

Damn, it said Elian Gonzalez would have a better chance at citizenship than I. FINE, give it to him.

Pulls out lower lip and pouts. :-(((((((((((((((((((

10 out of 12. I should have known with the current debate that the american people do not have to elect the president. The Florida Legislature selected electors during one elecetion in the 1860s without a popualr vote.

That's nothing sumer...I'm going to Cuba to be his surrogate mother...anyone want any cigars :)

-- Peg (pegmcleod@mediaone.net), December 01, 2000.

oh Peg, you are NOT allowed back into the states w/those cuby cigars, they will arrest you, no shit!!!

But, um, I can go w/you as his 2nd surrogate i got 5 out of 10

Hangs head in shame.

I heard about one man they ccaught trying to smuggle Cuban cigars into the states via Hartsfield (in Atlanta). They fined him and told him they would incinerate (sp?) the cigars. He asked if he could stand there and let the scent waft over him. The customers officers said "no"...

Tarzan, that reminded me of what they do with confiscated drugs in NYC. They have a "bomb, etc. disposal plot" in the Bronx. The scent of burning marijuana apparently wafts all over the surrounding neighborhoods.....

Nope, I always lived in Brooklyn :-)

Zagat dubs NYC ‘best city to visit’ Guidebook declares Four Seasons, Hertz tops in fields REUTERS

^^^um, yep NYC was reported by Reuters as being 'The Best City to Vistit", now go figure ;-)

and ya'll think *I'm* a pothead? please.

Twelve for twelve, but I got lucky on the question about the number of Amendments. I had to assume that no new ones had been added since my move to the mountains.

Uh, sumer, did you say you got 5 out of 10. Which two did you abstain on?

-- David L (bumpkin@dnet.net), December 01, 2000.

Funny, 'sumer. I just went back and randomly filled in the answers to see the response. Mine was "The white house dog would have a better chance." I think that playing "monkey at the keyboard", I got 3 out of 12 correct.

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), December 01, 2000.

Hey - 7 out of 12 is not bad for an outsider. (But I think that most of my fellow Canucks would not get more than 2 or 3).

I gotta think that if I posed a similar quiz about Canadian civics most Americans wouldn't be able to get more than a couple questions right.

-- Johnny Canuck (j_canuck@hotmail.com), December 01, 2000.

I got 11/12. Would not have done as well if there had not been this ongoing Civics class since Nov 7. I didn't remember that only Congress can declare a war. I guess Congress doesn't have to authorize "peacekeeping".

-- Lars (lars@indy.net), December 01, 2000.

Hey, this test is hard for an 8th grader. I did pretty good till I hit question 7. That is when I missed the rest. I only got 6 right.

-- liz (lizziedawn88@hotmail.com), April 25, 2001.

I think this whole test is rediculous. I mean no offence to any Americans, but I don't think a lot of Americans would not know alot of the answers anyway, so why give those questions to us? it's just stupid
