FABC Vic held a demonstration outside the South Yarra Tennis Club on the morning of 23 November. as Senator Alston arrived to address a Liberal fund raising event.

Just to get you interested our verbal exchange is repeated below. ABC radio was there but unfortunately didn't get the words on tape. (She would have been the cub reporter of the year if she had.)

FABC's Campaign Manger, accompanied by a small number of other FABC members, politely greeted the Minister and explained: "We're here to ask you to stop destroying the country's national broadcaster"

The Minister, equally politely and calmly, replied: "We haven't even started yet. We've got a long way to go."
