Has anything really changed from the Hysterium to this board?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

The roles are the same, only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

OTFR is Diane Squire - making, then changing, then selectively applying "the rules", another shining example of "absolute power."

hmmm is Lisa - lapdog wannabe, defender of the doomers, encouraging the sysops: "bark! bark! you get 'em! bark!"

More later...

Andy Ray

Andy, if you don't like it here why not just quit posting?

Wonderin,

If you don't like what I have to say, why do you click upon my threads?

And if people don't want me here, I can always be banned - from the Uncensored board...

Andy, Just my 2 cents worth. Actually I click on your posts for the entertainment value in the comments left by other esteemed forum regulars.

-- Wonderin (about@lots.of.things), November 26, 2000.

OTFR is Diane Squire - making, then changing, then selectively applying "the rules", another shining example of "absolute power."

But in this thread you conclude that OTFR is merely "inept." So, which is it?

hmmm is Lisa - lapdog wannabe, defender of the doomers, encouraging the sysops: "bark! bark! you get 'em! bark!"

But in the very same thread, you concluded that I was right. Do you no longer believe that I am right?

AR, what are you doing? I was on TB2000 long before you got there. I saw the devolution of that board and daily experienced the crap of which you write. To compare uncensored with old TB2000, to breath the name OTFR in the same breath as Squire and company is a dead end, my friend. I'm being kind here, AR.

hmm plays the role of Lisa? Are you kidding? No, you aren't. That's sad, man. You obviously do not visit here regularly.

This thread is a contunuation of another. Be sure to see Andy Ray's claims--and how they were answered--on the other recent thread he started.

Is AR correct? Did DJS have an "epiphany" (epi-phony would be better) after y2k? Did the shock of the non-event clear the scales on some eyes? OR was there a paid PR person operating on TB 2 Version (1.0) all the time? Was it all about "keeping the traffic up" what with all the fake plants and the creation of the straw people Pollies as "the enemy" for the "true believers".

Did the head censor (or censor of heads) see a burning bush?

Is someone now working as a PR Flack and cranking out Press Releases for seminars about "the Library as the Center of Democracy"?

Hokay Banned Person, I'll nibble -

Do you think the obviously involved individuals were intelligent & motivated enough from the outset to create such a construct all by their lonesomes? If so, was it for purely economic reasons, psychological/social needs/pressures - or do you believe we were 'somebody's lab rats'?

hmmm,

On the same thread you agreed with me, so which is it?

Plus, I realise it's difficult for you to keep more than one thought going in your fascist-defending mind, so I'll spell it out for you, and I'll try to use words you can understand: OTFR is exactly like Diane Squire, in that both are inept and both applied the rules selectively.

Bingo,

Please provide links to your five defamed posts. Then we'll talk.

On the same thread you agreed with me, so which is it?

LOL. I agreed with you when you said:

Perhaps you are correct.

and I still do.

Plus, I realise it's difficult for you to keep more than one thought going in your fascist-defending mind, so I'll spell it out for you, and I'll try to use words you can understand: OTFR is exactly like Diane Squire, in that both are inept and both applied the rules selectively.

But your premise appears to be that OTFR's ineptitude is causing him/her to apply the rules selectively, not necessarily intentionally. Do you believe that this is true of Diane Squire? Do you believe that it was merely "ineptitude" that she placed you and others on the red list? Was it merely "ineptitude" that she started the global delete policy which led to the spamming? Do you believe it was "ineptitude" that caused her to modify the subject line of your post twice?

Was it "ineptitude" that caused Diane Squire to refer to this very forum as "Polly/Troll/MiddleGrounder/Doomer Free-For-All, et. al" in the About section of the original hysterium?

You seem to be unusually forgiving of Diane Squire, considering all that she has done to you.

-- (hmm@hmm.hmm), November 26, 2000.

Has anything really changed from the Hysterium to this board?

Well, certainly YOU have not changed. Even CPR has shut up (knock on wood), but you are just a lil energizer bunny-boy.

-- (Paracelsus@Pb.Au), November 26, 2000.

I agreed with you

Well, good. See how easy that was? Don't you feel better now that you've admitted that this board is operating like the Hysterium?

Looks like OTFR needs a new lapdog, though...*sigh*

Ray the village idiot who contributed little beyond accusing everyone of being a paid government shill has been replaced by Andy Ray, the new village idiot who contributes little beyond accusing OTFR of not moderating the board to his liking.

And I shall now become Jack Sprat...

Where's the flashing red letters, Unk? You used to have a little html savvy. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dimpled ballots.

I agreed with you

Well, good. See how easy that was? Don't you feel better now that you've admitted that this board is operating like the Hysterium?

LOL. Here, Andy Ray is sadly reduced to ripping quotes out of context. But no matter, I will simply replace the context as a reminder of what I really said. Here is the actual quote:

I agreed with you when you said: Perhaps you are correct.

So. let's review. In this thread, Andy Ray is quoted as saying "Perhaps you are correct." I am in full agreement with this quote.

-- (hmm@hmm.hmm), November 27, 2000.

I am in full agreement with this quote.

Well, good, hmmm. But really, you don't have to be so agreeable - your point has been made wonderfully. Thank you for your agreement.

You're very welcome, Andy. I'm glad we both now realize that I was correct about OTFR.

-- (hmm@hmm.hmm), November 27, 2000.

You're very welcome, Andy... was correct about OTFR.

Please, hmmm, you're embarassing yourself!

-- Andy Ray (andyman633@hotmail.com), November 27, 2000.

you are all correct - just an exageration on my part...You have provided...evidence that OTFR is not biased. I stand corrected (demonstrably so)....you are correct....my apologies. I was wrong about OTFR. Please accept my humble thanks for your efforts. I apologise for publicly defaming your character with my selective analysis of information, misleading statements, and inaccurate conclusions. Please, hmmm - ...defend me

No thanks.
