It all adds up-- proof that Gore is out to win, by hook or by crook

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

You GOTTA read this; it is a compliation of stuff you might have already heard, but put on a time frame. Makes the point that the Democrats are out to win the presidency by fair means or foul. Also, today it was announced that the Illinois court decision that the Democrats used as precidence to convince the Florida courts that it was OK to count unpunched ballots was misrepresented to the Florida court. The Florida court was told that the Illinois court decision supported the unpunched ballot counting, when the reality was that the Illinois judge made the exact OPPOSITE decision. The Florida decision was based on FRAUD. Just like the rest of the Democratic goings on!!!!! To read about more evidence of misdeeds, go to:

Wow, Leann, that was great. Thanks. I've been watching the coverage almost non-stop since the election, and cannot believe what I'm seeing most of the time. Today I almost croaked when Joe Lieberman came out and made his speech against the Republican protesters. He insinuated that they were responsible for stopping the Miami-Dade recount, which is absurd. I watched the news converence where the Miami-Dade canvassing board said that the reason why they were not doing a recount was because they didn't have enough time and to just count the 10,000 discarded votes would have been against Florida law and illegal. Of course Mr. Lieberman did not mention that. The protesters were not just mad about the recount of the whole county, but of the Board taking the 10,000 votes to 1 floor above and counting them in secret. The Canvassing Board is all Democrat. The news media were the first to file a complaint. I don't know if the Democrats think we Americans are stupid or what, but I know what I see and hear, and don't like it. Sorry for rambling on, but this whole mess really is so absurd I can hardly believe it. ( and sorry Sheepish for not posting above, but my fingers just got goin and I couldn't stop!) :)

Leann:

I am about 99.99% sure the justices on the FL Supreme Court had their law clerks look at that specific case and the justices interpreted it as they wanted to. I believe they intentionally set out to rewrite FL election laws (which are based on the U.S. Constitution) and in a week or so will get their hands slapped by the U.S. Supreme Court.

I rather immagine that the count, count, and re-count strategy will continue until Gore is president. Some other possibilities are that the president of the United Stastes, who I think is a Democrat; will suspend the constitution of the United States out of fairness to the people. Then he can just appoint Al to the presidency.

Either way nothing will be done one way or the other until the general public is certified to be sound asleep (won't be too long now). The most interesting T.V. in my town today, is the weather channel.

Ed, what worries me is that you may be right. Hubby has said all along that Clinton won't leave without a fight. I hope he is wrong.

I, too, believe that President Clinton is not going to fade into the sunset. I think if Gore gets in then he will appoint Clinton to some position which he will invent and allow him to be part of the decision-making power of the government. The man is way too power hungry for my tastes. I also believe this fiasco of deciding the presidency won't be done until at least February. I keep wondering how many times Bush has to win before it is finally decided, duh, he won.

I don't agree, Colleen. I don't think Gore really likes Clinton at all, nor does he want him around. Am I the only one who remembers that Gore ran against Clinton for the Democratic nomination in 1992? He was offered the vice-president spot as a means to "unify" the party, and he took it because he saw it as his best means to the presidency in the future. This is just my opinion, BTW. We may never find out the real answer to this one though.
