Question about US elections...greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread
...do you continue to count until the candidate the media wishes to win is proclaimed president?
-- Andy Ray (email@example.com), November 21, 2000
No, you count until you have an accurate tally of 6,000,000 ballots, half of which are manually punched, when the margin of error is more than enough to swing the election either way.
What are you, learning disabled?

Me thinks that Andy claims to be British. Don't be so hard on him. Democratically disabled :^)
Of course unless this is Hawk. Sans Comic is not that hard.

Answerman is correct, provided you understand what "accurate" means. In practice, it means count dimples as votes in counties where the large majority of dimples favor the media's candidate, and DO NOT RECOUNT in counties where dimples would favor his opponent. This is "accuracy", media-style.
