The American populace has achieved a new level of apathy when someone as prestigous as a Judge and something as important as a Presidential election is usurped by a game of gladiators on the gridiron! This is an incredibly shameful social commentary.

The Monday 2:00 time was set, so that the lawyers would have enough time to prepare their stratigies. Kind of like football, but not quite.[g]

Each side has one hour of time before the court on Monday.

Also, if the court had gone ahead and allowed the vote to be certified , they could eventually find themselves in the position of having to 'undo' the certification...and the reason that both parties are at the Fla. Supreme Court is to ask.."Will the manual recount tallies be allowed to be inculded in the certification of the vote?

Makes sense if you think about it.

This weekend, George and Laura will be finalizing their moving plans from the Austin ranch to the White House. Simultaneously, Al and Tipper will be shopping for a pig farm in Tennessee.

Florida State by 17

Tiger Woods by 4

USC by 3

I thought Al grew up in a farm somewhere in downtown Washington D.C.

I (h@ve.spoken),

Are you kidding me? You made some predictions yesterday and man I could use a tout like you. FS won by 23, you said 17. USC by 3 was dead on the money. Tiger is up by 3 going into tomorrows last round and you said 4. Damn nice work sir!

-- Wizard (onedirector@email.msn.com), November 19, 2000.

Hey Wiz, thanks for the kind words. I made these calls on Friday when Tiger was one up. The interesting aspect is the last minute events that led up to these scores.

Florida State scored a meaningless late touchdown or the spread would have been 16. Very close to 17.

Tiger Woods just missed a birdie putt on the last hole of the tournament that would have put his margin of victory at 4 instead of 3. Almost hit that one too.

With nine seconds left, USC kicked a field goal to make my 3 point spread call a winner.

Trust me when I tell you that I am not a gambler or handicapper. Just a sports nut that took an educated guess on the winners and their points spread. Would have been fun to nail all three shots on the nose.

Tomorrow, it will be Bush by 943.

I have spoken

I can assure you that no touchdown ever scored in a FSU VS UF football game can be termed 'meaningless'. :-)

HOW BOUT THEM NOLES!!! Now if that BCS computer can just make the right choice......

Scuse me Deano on the * meaningless* score comment. Here is a prediction just for you:

Final BCS standings will have Oklahoma #1, Florida State #2.

Orange Bowl score: Noles 38, Sooners 24

We did manage to jump over the 'Canes yesterday in the BCS. Have to admit I'd like another shot at'em for all the marbles. If K State can somehow beat Oklahoma.........

FSU's track record against the Sooners in the Orange Bowl ain't too good. They beat us for the National Championship at the end of the '79 and '80 seasons down there. Of course, it's a different team in Tallahassee these days too.....

Still got 2 more weeks to wait too......bummer!

Deano

I would have preferred to see my guys from Ann Arbor in the big show but a Noles/Sooner battle should be a great match-up. As you say, the men from Norman must get by K-State for this to happen. For the offensive minded, the Chris and Josh show will be something to behold.

Now, if you people could just learn to count.

Learn to count???

I think we ran out of fingers and toes after the 1st 2 counties.

After that, it was just a guess based on how big the stack was.

Unfortunately, it's getting almost comical......sadly enough.
