More dreams

I have made a truly astonishing discovery: the reason I was drawn to Aeon Flux in the first place is because the show takes place in my subconcious. All my dreams happen in Beronica and always have, even before I first watched the show. I've always been aware of this on some level, but I guess I never really sat down and thought about it before. Here for your reading enjoyment is a dream from last night, something I believe was inspired by a picture in my psychology textbook of a rat with a hole cut in its head and a receptor inserted into the brain which zapped it with pleasure or pain stimulation. The dream was about this creature that was sometimes a poisonous snake and sometimes a cat. I was there and I paralyzed it while it was a snake, using body undulations to hypnotize it. I grabbed hold of it and when it changed into a cat I used a pair of scissors to cut a big slice of skin off its back. Right behind the skull, paper-clipped to the spinal cord, was a dollar bill. I wrote on a piece of paper "I will not bite anymore" and paper-clipped it to the dollar and let the snake-cat go. It would take a while to heal, but it couldn't bite and kill people anymore. And that's the end of the dream. Actually, this sounds more like something from eXistenZ than Aeon Flux, but if I could draw a picture of it for you you'd see what I was talking about.

No. It sounds like the Purge, only you are Trevor, and you implanted the snake-cat with a conscience. Are your dreams always this lethal sounding?

Mmmmmm, usually. My dreams are always creepy. I never have HAPPY dreams. You know, looking back over this I realize how silly it is to ask questions like "Why did they stick popsickles on the custodians?". I mean, why a dollar bill? I DON'T KNOW.

It should be noted that the inside of the thing wasn't gooey and bloody. It was kinda narghile-ish. Incidentally, I wanna recommend eXistenZ. It's a neat movie.

I do love that dream. That should have been mine. I love that dream. Wow, thats up there with that rabbit that ate my fish. Now I'm telling lies one was my dads. It seems to me that maybe you wish you had more control. You are in psychology, is it to stop destructive behaviour in other? The cat/snake was bad(I assume), was it that you think evil is motivated by money. I'm just trying out some ideas, but your the psychology student.

Yeah, this dream is fascinating. It seems to have an Aeon quality to it, she is very direct, as is this dream. I've read it several times already. It certainly takes care of the evil snake/cat problem. I'm getting the impression you get things done.

I have decided that the dream is an ontological and syllogistic statement of the futility of material possessions and the meaninglessness of a passive existence, something which can only be allieviated by using the "scissors" of empowerment and taking control of one's own destiny. That, and it made me hungry for rotisserie chicken.

Boy, now my memories are flowing like water. I seem to remember a dream in which Aeon's body was ripped apart and her mind was placed inside a Clavius-esqe virtual reality sub-dimension whatever. Then there was this other one that I don't really recall, but it involved her accidentally killing herself due to her own clumsiness. I seem to think there was a gun, some gymnastics, foot-slipping, and much blood in it. It dated, with astonishing accuracy in design, both in architecture and Aeon herself, from the season 1 era.

I just woke up from a dream about Aeon Flux. I dreamt that the Sunday paper had come and in the entertainment section there was a two page spread on Aeon Flux, with gorgeous new art from the new season! Aeon was spread across the top page in a full leap. It was explained in the article that Aeon Flux was always an avantgard show and the new season was filled with animation that would astound the art world with its ingenuity and confound the audience with its difficult to understand plots... The color illustrations were all new and I was dying to see the first show it was to air that night.
