IF this country should amend the constitution and allow for a direct popular vote election of our president, you will see an entirely NEW level of corruption, 10 times as bad as it is now!

The ultra rich will be more blatant about buying the votes of the ultra poor....highly concentrated population centers will dtermine who gets elected (I.E. LA and NYC) If you don't live in a major metropolis, your vote will count even LESS that it does now....in fact, you probably won't even get to see or hear the issues because candidates won't "waste their time" in areas with sparse populations.

Better to push for a split of the electoral college vote than direct popular election.
