What The People want

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

The People voted for Gore to be their President. Now he's being made out to be the unpatriotic Bad Guy because of the Florida Fiasco. If Bush had any character, integrity and patriotism HE'd be the one to gracefully concede to the Will of The People.

We get pissed when a murderer "gets off" on a technicality...will we express the same moral outrage if Bush gets IN on one?

It's not fair mommy! Booo Hoooo!

Conservatives didn't think it was fair 8 years ago either.

Grow up!

You're forgetting something. The Bush dynasty does not know the difference between right and wrong, their legacy is that they are living proof of how to get ahead by deception, cheating, and stealing from the middle class of America. They are the New Rockefellers.

-- (Bush.family@doesn't.CARE.what.the.people.want), November 10, 2000.

get ahead by deception, cheating, and stealing

What cave have you been living in for the past eight years?

Travelgate, 500 Misappropriated FBI files on Republicans, Chinese Fundraising, Buddist Temple Fundraising, Missing White House Email, Monicagate (Definition of "IS") etc, etc,.

Gimme a break! Go blow your nose!

-- Ain't Gonna Happen (Not Here Not@ever.com), November 10, 2000.

Conservatives didn't think it was fair 8 years ago either.

YOU grow up! There's NO comparison between the election 8 years ago and this one. DUH!

"You're forgetting something. The Clinton dynasty does not know the difference between right and wrong, their legacy is that they are living proof of how to get ahead by deception, cheating, and stealing from the middle class of America. They are the New Rockefellers."

Works both ways doesn't it?

Not all the votes have been counted in all the states. I'm hearing that California still has over 1,000,000 ballots to count and it's being suggested that Bush could win California. Also, New Mexico may swing to Bush. It ain't over! We have the Constitution of the United States that takes care of problems like this. Just because we don't like the outcome of an election, why change a system that works? Shall we throw out "freedom of speech," just because we don't like what someone is saying? Better think about the consequences of changing the Constitution of the United States just because it doesn't fit our feelings at the present moment.

-- Mrs. Cleaver (Mrs. Cleaver@LITBBB.vcom), November 10, 2000.

Some seem to be forgetting that the people are still voting. There are many votes nation wide still being counted. There are something like a million absentee votes in California still not counted.

New Mexico is recounting because they found 60,000 votes that had not been included; and there are other states where 100% of the votes aren't yet certified.

It is entirely possible that Gore's present lead of 200,000+ votes may be reversed. Will he then ask for a recount of every vote cast in the United States? And how many times? And what happens to his "moral high ground" then?

ROFL!

Sounds like my seventeen year old when he doesn't get his way. Yeesh! Are we really gonna here all this whining for four years?

Don't blame me because Gore didn't trade enough cigarettes for votes to the homeless people!

ROFL!

Gore is a pothead! Nanny nanny boo boo! So there!

Sticks and stones...

Sorry for the incorrect statement that people are still voting. They are finished voting but the vote total is not complete.

-- Nadine (nadine@hillsboro.net), November 10, 2000.

Travelgate, 500 Misappropriated FBI files on Republicans, Chinese Fundraising, Buddist Temple Fundraising, Missing White House Email, Monicagate (Definition of "IS") etc, etc,.

Apples and oranges. Clinton's "legacy" is old news, dude.

Bush is an illiterate drunk, a failed businessman, and an adolescent jerk who wouldn't have gotten where he is today if it wasn't for daddy's influence. Definitely NOT "World Leader" material! More of an embarrassment than anything else.

-- Truth (Hurts@BushBrat.com), November 10, 2000.

Sorry for the incorrect statement that people are still voting. They are finished voting but the vote total is not complete.

No I think you were right the first time. The DNC has or is trying to extend the voting in key Democraticly controlled districts as I understand it.

When the DNC feels they have corrected the former outcome favoring Bush to favor their candidate, Gore, voting will then be suspended.

ROFL!

-- Ain't Gonna Happen (Not Here Not@ever.com), November 10, 2000.

Ahem... You mean the Clinton/GORE legacy don't you?

My seventeen year old son is no differnent than any other teenager or Gore Democrat not getting their way.

NEXT!

-- Ain't Gonna Happen (Not Here Not@ever.com), November 10, 2000.

You mean the Clinton/GORE legacy don't you?

Oh please enlighten me Giant Brain and Big Mouth. Exactly what did Gore have to do with Travelgate, Monicagate, missing files and email? Just because he was in the general vicinity doesn't mean he participated in any wrong doing.

You can stop smiling now. Oh wait...I SHOULD say "You can turn around and stand up straight now."

-- Outta (Here@ThreadDegeneration.com), November 10, 2000.

"My seventeen year old son is no differnent than any other teenager or Gore Democrat not getting their way."

I take that to be a "Yes" answer to the question regarding your rudeness.

I can't wait to hear your rants and gnashing of teeth if Gore ultimately occupies the White House rather than The Drunken, Failed, Daddy's-Puppet joke known as Shrubya. Your words WILL come back to haunt you.

-- Time (Will@Tell.com), November 10, 2000.

Well big Al himself musta been lost that day when he took all that money from those Buddist Monks and thought he was somewhere else hey?

As Vice President it was his sworn duty to uphold the laws of this land. NO ONE can tell me he wasn't associated or didn't EVER know what was going on. He came VERY close to an independant council investigation with all those phone calls he made from the White House raising campaign contributions four years ago.

Ever heard of the term, 'Guilty by Association'?

Now..go pout with the other Democrats outside now, Ok? Later before nap time we can have milk and cookies if you behave.

BIGGER GRIN

Which ones? That Gore is not pure as the driven snow you are trying to sell here?

-- Ain't Gonna Happen (Not Here Not@ever.com), November 10, 2000.

"Ever heard of the term, 'Guilty by Association'? "

Ever hear of the term "Innocent Until Proven Guilty", dipshit? Or should we suspend the Constitution to accomodate you?

As I thought, you're nothing but bluster and have absolutely no facts whatsoever to substantiate your wild-ass conjectures. Now if you'll excuse me I have to adjourn myself since I prefer to deal with people of substance rather than Blow-Hards.

-- See (Ya@Later.com), November 10, 2000.

Ain't, you're beating a dead horse as far as the numbers are concerned at the present moment. Gore unquestionably won the popular vote and you're backing the Underdog.

-- Numbers (Don't@Lie.com/UnlessThey'reManipulated), November 10, 2000.

"Or should we suspend the Constitution to accomodate you?"

Yes, that is what the Nazis would do. Cheating is okay, as long as we win!

-- Ain't Gonna Happen (Not Here Not@ever.com), November 10, 2000.

Gore unquestionably won the popular vote

The President is not elected by popular vote. He is elected by electorial vote.

-- Ain't Gonna Happen (Not Here Not@ever.com), November 10, 2000.

Ever hear of the term "Innocent Until Proven Guilty",

Ever heard of ethics and morals? These things aren't found within laws they are however the substance of what build or tear down society and it's something we need to have in our president.

As long as there are people like you willing to turn their heads to inappropriate behavior we will continue to show our children how to get around the law to get what they want.

I've had enough of that type of administration for awhile. Time to disinfect the White House and move on.

Well, isn't that cute. Seems you have taking to lying just like Clinton/Gore taught you.

Thank you for proving my point about ethics and morals. What you just did is not illegal but is very unethical. Ever heard of ethics and morals? These things aren't found within laws they are however the substance of what build or tear down society and it's something we need to have in our president.

surely you can come up with something better than that to Bash Bush?

and I dont even like the sob. ;-0

"I count 13 responses so far by "Ain't". Does he get off on smelling his own farts or what? "

Since Ain't is so proud to emulate the adolescent hi-jinks of his 17 yr. old, I'd hafta' say he probably makes prank calls too...and probably tortured animals as a child just like his Idol.

and...FWIW Aint isnt even in the Stats page.

Come on Aint, you do have the *rest* of the day to catch up, you can do it.

>> ... according to VNS :-) <<

This time, we will have to wait for the respective Secretaries of State to certify their election results before we know the outcome.

In this election, we cannot take the word of mere news services. In most years, news reporters can "call" an election long before the legal process is complete. Not so in AD 2000. We must patiently wait for the whole process to finish. Unusual!

-- Brian McLaughlin (brianm@ims.com), November 10, 2000.

"That link is LAME, real LAME."

Why is it "lame"? Apparently Ms. Miedzian thought Bush's actions were significant enough to include in her book "Boys Will Be Boys: Breaking the Link Betweeen Masculinity and Violence" (Doubleday, 1991; Anchor, 1992). It certainly explains the proud, gleeful smirk on Shrub's face during the debates when he boasted about his execution record. I thought he was close to smacking his lips in anticipation when he said "...and they're going to be put to death." Sorry, but that kind of delight is just plain sick.

-- Nature (vs@Nurture.com), November 10, 2000.

Don't forget that Shrub once said he would like to "hang" a driver who was charged with a DWI. But that was during the time when he had managed to keep his own D-Dubya-I concealed, so by his book, it is okay to hang other people for the same offense.

Funny how Ain't got real quiet all of a sudden. I guess there's no way to defend a character that intentionally abused defenseless animals as a kid and enjoys killing people as an adult.
