It could be quite some time before all the legal wrangling is over and done with. If the hand recount in Palm Beach county is allowed to count you can expect Bush to go to court for hand counts in counties that he leads. Heck, Gore could then counter with a few more counties of his own. This hand count in a heavily leaning Democrat county without any hand count is a travesty, btw. I can easily see the hand recount in Palm Beach county being allowed to count. I can also easily see this leading to a hand recount of the entire state. It could happen.

There is also the potential for a re-vote, depending on the outcome of the lawsuit brought by the people who couldn't understand the ballot (I expect this line of attack to go nowhere, though.)

Dave and I are the only two who dared to guess, and we waffled a bit I guess. Still looks to me like we are in for a long disgraceful haul. Looks like chickens scrambling in a barnyard when a handful of corn is flung out.
