hey, i just moved down here in new orleans, and was wondering what happened to the rave scene, it seems the freebass society has dissappeared, is there anyone else down here who throws raves??

The reason why you haven't heard of any freebass parties is because there are no more =( State Palace, the home for all New Orleans ravers, has been shut down by the dea and new orleans police. Donnie (one of the guys who was part of freebass) is now throughing FUDGE, a weekly at the House of Blues. It's on Sat night 18+..and plus it's only 15 bucks, a couple of weekends ago ltj bukem spun and this past saturday night julius papp spun...definately a change for new olreans...but it's for the better b/c it's been outta control for the past 2 years. I wish we could bring more and more people in to the rave culture. I'm from Pensacola, Florida and the only thing we have is Bedlems, other than the groove, but the groove has nothing on Bedlems. On Friday nights Angel, Sekay Medina, Shorty, all break out with jungle beats. Bedlems is nothing like what it used to be! I've yet made it to New Orleans to go to the St. Palace. I wanted to go to Zoolu 8 this weekend Febuary 9th, 2002, but from here in P'Cola things are not looking so good. I word of the wise all of the ravers,and DJ's success is what were achieving each and every production thrown. One day people will realize that it takes dedication to commit yourself to the lifestyles that we all live within the rave scence. I can't wait to make it to the State Palace, in New Orleans. It is music that combines every other type of music and that is what brings us all together. Hi, I just moved here and I loved the Memphis rave scene. I was so supprised to find that there weren't any down here outside of dance clubs with mediocre dj's. Where is my Irene, AK4000 and D:Fuse when I need my fix? Where do I find the inside track or am I restricted to pop parties at club 735?

There still are parties. I saw Dieselboy a couple months ago and there is supposedly a big party on Mardi Gras for three days. Baby Anne and Icey are at the house of blues on Sat Feb 8. They are huge in the Florida underground scene. I've seen Baby Anne at least 14 or 15 times. She tears it up. As for Icey, he just tags along now. He used to be cool but now he kinda sucks.

Just to let you guys know, you got it all wrong...if you really wanna have fun the party is all in Ybor City down around the Tampa Bay area. I have been a raver for a while and that is where I go when I need my fix. There is also a little club called Outerlimits that is awesome in Bradenton. Ybor has a lot of clubs to choose from and you can walk the streets and listen to most of the music before you choose where to go...I used to live in P'cola and then moved to Bradenton/Sarasota area that's how I know...I am living in Germany right now and it is awesome, but as for places in Florida Ybor is the place to be...
