IN: Report: Voter rolls filled with bogus namesgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Grassroots Information Coordination Center (GICC) : One Thread |
IndianaBs voter rolls are bursting with a record 4
million names, but hundreds of thousands of those
names are bogus, according to a newspaper report.. . .
The StarBs computer-assisted analysis of the voter rolls found:
- C0 Tens of thousands of people appear on
the voter rolls more than once.- C0 More than 300 dead people on the rolls
were discovered. One of those registered, a
South Bend woman, died in April 1998 but was
recorded as voting in that fallBs general
election. Election officials believe it was
a clerical error- C0 Because of the swollen list of registered
voters, election turnout is not as bad believed.- C0 Inaccurate voter records make it appear
that four people in central Indiana voted
twice in the same election. No one noticed
the apparently improper votes because no one
in Indiana looks for fraud in a systematic way.- C0 A cursory check found three convicted
killers and two convicted child molesters on
the voter rolls in central Indiana.Evansville Courier
