Dose anyone know how to make Turnip Kraut?

From Putting Food By:Sour WhiteTurnip (Sauer Ruben)
Peel and quarter youg rutabagars or white turnips (rutabagars are usually firmer and juicier than turnips). Shred fine or chop with midium knife of a food grinder, catching stray juice in a bowl placed underneath. Pack with layers of salt as for Sauerkraut, but do not tamp down - there should be juice aplenty without tamping, and it's enough to press down on the topmost layer to settle the pack.
Proceed in every way as for Sauerkraut.
