MI - Wing problems force jetliner to make emergency landing

KENT COUNTY A jetliner with wing flap problems made an emergency landing Wednesday morning at Gerald R. Ford International Airport.

The pilot of the 727 reported the problem to the airport tower at about 10:30 a.m.

Thirteen passengers were on board the noncommercial flight.

The airplane landed safely at about 10:45 a.m., said airport Communications Manager Bruce Schedlbauer.

He said he did not know whether the plane was scheduled to land at the airport.
