AFTER THE DEATH OF GOD THE FATHER by Mary Daly, retired associate professor of theology at Boston College.

Gee, I wonder why the theology department of the Jesuit-run Boston College had it in for her.

Finding reasons not to accept God and twist His words is nothing new. It has gone on since satan tempted man into sin at the Garden of Eden.

Genesis 2:16-17

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

Satans Lies and deception.....

Genesis 3:4-5

4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

The rest is history as they say.

Now that's a person who really 'stirs the ant hill'.

Unfortunately her points are almost as valid today as they were 30 years ago.

I like the answer Mary Summer Rain gave in her book "Eclipse," to a reader's question: "What if God turns out to be a Goddess?"

Mary Summer Rain's answer (in part):

"Who says the God/Goddess has gender? Seems to me the Divine Being would be hermaphroditic. If the Divine Essence is All, then the Divine Being would possess female and male aspects. The Essence would be the Supreme Being...as in really "SUPREME" Being and be the God of All and the Creatrix and the Spirit Essence. This idea of God being a male or a female is silly. It's silly because the Divine Being...is...ALL! It is because of this fact that I use both the male and female terms for this Divine Essence interchangeably, depending on whether I'm speaking about the Father Aspect, the Mother Aspect, or the Spirit Aspect."

This is not about being feministic, it is about being real.

This is not about being feministic, it is about being real.

It should be about what the lord's word has to say through His scriptures.

The most militant, knee-jerky feminist I have ever known was a former nun. Maybe not surprising---the personality characteristics that cause someone to be passionate about a religious faith are probably close to those that cause someone to be passionate about an ideology.

So why wasn't she very passionate in bed?

The women's movement will present a growing threat to patriarchal religion less by attacking it than by simply leaving it behind.

Food for thought.

The 'women's movement' posses zero threat to the Kingdom of God.

Now that is REAL food for thought.

The Kingdom of God, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, Grimm's Fairy Tales--wonderful and charming myths to scare, assuage, delight and soothe the fears of needy and unquestioning people.

Again, I quote MSR:

"The Age of the Divine Mother is dawning. The truth of her nature will light up the world like seven suns. And the patriarchal religions will bend their knees in acknowledgment.

"Women are getting back to where they belong...on equal footing...back to where they were before men maligned and outlawed their beautiful belief and worship of the Mother Goddess. The Goddess has returned....Humanity can only be turned around through the love and gentleness of the Mother....Quietly, treading on whispered footfalls, is she now walking through your world."

To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.", Genesis 3:16

The husband is supreme over his wife, and God is supreme over Christ, 1 Corinthians 11:3

For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is head of the church, his body, of which he is the savior, Ephesians 5:23

Wives, submit yourself to your husbands, for that is what you should do as Christians. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them, Colossians 3:18

Keep your women silent in assemblies, because they are never permitted to utter; indeed, they must obey according even to the law. Moreover, if they wish to understand, they must ask their husbands at home, because it is a disgrace for women to utter in an assembly, 1 Corinthians 14:35

A married woman ... is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives..., Romans 7:2

Wives must submit themselves completely to their husbands just as the church submits itself to Christ, Ephesians 5:24

How hard it is to find a capable wife; she is worth far more than jewels, Proverbs 31:10

Let not the wife depart from her husband; but and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband; and let not the husband put away his wife, 1 Corinthian 7:10

... you wives should be obedient to your husbands, 1 Peter 3

You husbands, also, in living with your wives you must recognize that they are the weaker sex. So you must treat them with respect, because they will also receive, together with you, God's gift of life, 1 Peter 3:7

... in order to train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, and to be good housewives, who obey their husbands, so that no one will speak evil of the message from God, Titus 2:4

During instruction, a woman should be quiet and respectful. I give no permission for a woman to teach or have authority over a man, 1 Timothy 2:11

Nor was man created for woman's sake, but woman was created for man's sake, 1 Corinthians 11:9

My son, hear the instructions of thy father, and forget not the law of thine mother, Proverbs 1:8

As the law of Moses prescribes, they were given the same punishment as they had schemed to inflict [adultery] on their neighbor. They were put to death, Daniel 13:62

she shall be brought to the door of her father's house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father's house. You must purge the evil from among you. Deuteronomy 22:21

A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD, Deuteronomy 23:2

... false teachers will appear amoung you... [to] bring in destructive untrue doctrines ... and they will bring upon themselves sudden destruction ... They want to look for nothing but the chance to commit adultery, 2 Peter 2:1

Even if you do not commit adultery, you have become a lawbreaker if you commit murder, James 2:11

If there is a man who lies with a male ..., they shall be put to death, Leviticus 20:13

Some of them go into people's houses and gain control over weak women who are burdened by the guilt of their sins and driven by all kinds of desires, women who are always trying to learn but who can never come to know the truth, 2 Timothy 3:8

In our law Moses commanded that [adulteresses] must be stoned to death, John 8:5

Does this mean that we do away with the law by this faith? No, not at all; instead we uphold the law, Romans 3:31

"So I will come near to you for judgment. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive aliens of justice, but do not fear me," says the LORD Almighty, Malachi 3:5

He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers...or else I will come and strike the land with a curse, Malachi 4:6

For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. Matthew 15:19

You know the commandments: `Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, do not defraud, honor your father and mother.' Mark 10:19

And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail, Luke 16:17

He [Asa, King of Judah 911-870 BC] even deprived his grandmother Maacah of the dignity of a 'great lady' for having made an obscenity for Asherah; Asa cut down her obscenity and burnt it in the ravine of the Kidron, 1 Kings 15:13

... let fear of the Lord govern you [judges]; be careful what you do, for our Lord God will not tolerate malpractice, partiality, or the taking of bribes, 2 Chronicles 19

Neither the Holy Bible nor the Constitution preach nor even remotely suggest "gender equality" . On the contrary, our Founding Forefathers debated the idea of giving women the vote and rejected it. The Holy Bible goes to great lengths to explain why and how women should be revered, but not put in positions of authority nor responsibility over men. The Constitution accepted and secured the role of the father in the family by putting him in charge of a family in which no bureaucrat could intercede. The two centuries of unprecedented economic growth of the US economy which followed was the inevitable result
