Freaky Misogynists Bring Sleazy Board to New Low

I got out of the hospital yesterday and I'm too tired to hyperlink.

You've got to love how these people like to stereotype 51% of the population. They would be incensed if someone said all white people would vote for Gore or that Republicans all want a theocracy, and yet those two groups are smaller and much more homogenous than women (too tired to spell today, too, I think the chemo's getting to me).

Read that thread for some gems on the repeal of the 19th Amendment. Scary people. Looks like no one has told them men vote in greater numbers than wommen. I wonder if they knew, whether they'd still be in favor of repealing votes for women only or for everyone who doesn't agree with their point of view.

Shameless bid for attention.

"These people"? Careful or you might become a stereotyper yourself. As an exercise in intellectual honesty, why don't you give us an estimate on the percentage of EZBoard memebers you believe are in favor of repealing the 19th Amendment.

I'd say it's a lot less than 50%....

I just noticed that when I typed "members," it came out as "memebers." A little unintentional humor there. :-)

Let me go on the record and state I'm 100% in favor of the 19th Amendment.

By "these people" I meant the following: Jed "Son, your Mom's a liberal whore," Brulen, Allann "And mom, you were right, when you told me that women shouldn't vote.", Patrick "I had expressed similar sentiments on more than one occaision and was summarily taken to the woodshed" Mc, and Norm "Geez, Jed, you may be right..." Harrold.

Next time, try to not have such a knee jerk reaction.

On the pert-near-endless ladylogic thread from the ol' bomb, one of the fellas said something about Laura's logic, & the fact that women had the right to vote. {Remember the thread? She'd seen the light & converted to Pollyanity}.

Forgive me Tarzan, but I think I'll pass on your link today.

Hope you feel better soon -

....So what's your point?

-- Patrick (pmchenry@gradall.com), October 31, 2000.

Ape-Dude,

I'm with Flora, it seems that whenever I follow a link to that place I come away feeling a little dirty, so I too shall refrain.

BTW, I LOVE your new email address. A sense of humor is one of the most vital things that one can have as an aid to recovery, good luck and best wishes.

Um...Unk didnt you recently start a thread about women voters? AHEM

-- cin (cin@cin.cin), October 31, 2000.

Tarzan. good to see that you are still around to guard the slaughterhouse. All the best.

Hey there Apeman,

You've apparently conjured Patrick - he was hangin' on Celia's 'Nader the Leninist' thread:

".....You make a good case for the repeal of the 19th amendment... any of you that still argue dem/repub, left/right etc. are what the socialists in charge refer to as "useful idiots"... their term, not mine..."

*sniff* - it's just like Old Home Week.

Why does the old Almond Joy/Mounds jingle come to mind now when I see your posts, Tarz?

Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

cin,

I did not go over to the other board and read the thread so I cannot comment on the specifics of the discussion over there. However, on my horrible sexist thread that I started I never ever called for the repeal of a woman's right to vote. I started it as an attempt to explore why women, as a rule, seem to vote to the left of men, as a rule. My over the top rhetoric on that thread was meant to draw out opinion, and it worked.

Just wanted to let you know, Tarz, that it's good to "see" you again. I hope you're doing and feeling better.

I'd stay offa them vines for awhile if I were you, though. I assume the doc advised you of same. Maybe try one of them scooters instead -- they're in fashion now, to boot. Just get a leopard-skin cover -- you know -- to match your loin cloth.
