incubation temperature for guineasgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
My husband brought in about 2 dozen guinea eggs from our free range flock. We know they were laid within the last week or two. I'd like to try to hatch them, but cannot find seem to find the proper incubation temperature in any of my references. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Treat them just like chicken eggs, except they will take 28 days instead of 21 days. My incubator (Hovabator, with fan) calls for 99 1/2 degrees. The still air incubator says 101 degrees. I was never sure I could read the thermometer that precisely or even if it was that accurate. But in that range I've had success with guinea eggs and I'm sure you will too. GL!
