Icelandic Sheep for Sale

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Many of you may remember that I bought 4 Icelandic Sheep about two months ago.

I have decided to sell the sheep. There are several factors involved in my decision, but to put it succinctly, I have decided that I just can not care for them the way that I had thought.

This in no way reflects my opinion of the breed. I believe they are a good breed, but being only one person, my plate is already full and I have taken on more than I can handle.

I prefer to sell them as a group B the four for $1400. This is very inexpensive for Icelandic Sheep and will make a good starter group for anyone interested. There is one ram and three ewes. They are already bred for the winter, so you will be getting a bonus. They are registered with the Canadian Livestock Records Corporation.

I live in NE Indiana near Fort Wayne. For any of you interested, please email me personally.

I do not know why that "B" showed up after the word "group". It was supposed to be a dash! It is NOT a grading of the sheep.

I prefer to sell them as a group "dash" the four for $1400.

R., I wish I could take you up on this, but the timeing is bad. No place to put them right now, not to mention distance to travel. Hope you find a buyer. Bred a little early, though, aren't they? They'll be having their lambs while the weather is still pretty cold, I would think.

SO tempting, and what a great price. And I'll be in central IN later this month. But...my husband would absolutely kill me. Does anyone else have standing instructions from their spouse NOT to bring any animals home?

It's a standing joke in this house , I am always told not to bring ANYTHING else home .It hasn't stopped me yet !
