I guess it depends on the time-frame, Capn. During Olympic years or election years, I can't keep my eyes off those relatively rare events. Lately, it's been school, homework, school, homework, politics, school, homework. I'm one of those folks who do one thing to an extreme. If I have an inkling that I might want to get a dog, for instance, I start researching dogs until I can't find any more information on them. I may, ultimately, decide not to get one, and not look into dogs again until the fancy strikes me the NEXT time.

Daughter #2 called today to discuss her boyfriend. It seems he's into "motivation" of late, and has a personality similar to mine. He's doing the readings, the tapes....the whole nine yards. She's more a "moderation" kindof person, so doesn't understand the syndrome. Her older sister is more like me. She ate peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches in elementary school EVERY day for lunch, and one day simply dropped them from her menu.

In the last decade my job has become so overwhelming, that I donBt do much else. I can answer about the times before 1990.

Rock climbing and backpacking Canoeing Skiing [alpine and x-country] Sailing

Photography; I am actually pretty good at this and have, in the past, sold a lot of stuff. Platinum printing brings big bucks.

Woodworking

Reading Attempting to understand Hawk Selection of new veggie lines; my own.

I have been working for years on understanding the origins and meaning and history of the Bible and the Koran. This is an on going project. Not a religious one; just want to know one.

Best wishes,,,,,

Golly, you folks sure do sound busy in your spare time. It's a wonder you have time to work!

Me, I like...

Reading, pulp to politics

WWII Aviation, airshows, flying in vintage aircraft (Highlight so far, riding in a B-17G bomber, oh my it was so much fun...and the view from the bombardier's position! But the open cockpit Stearman flight was sweet too, bugs meet teeth)

Model Building (mostly WWII aircraft)

Gardening, weeding, hacking, planting.....yeah yeah yeah, sounds like work, but it is therapy to nurture living things

Making Beah (Austrailian for beer) but I have slipped in this dept. (Impatient)

Handgunning

Florida style lazy assed shit, beach, boat, Buffet....

Mostly I am a homebody, a cocooner. I like doing homeboy stuff, building, painting, papering, so on and so forth.

In no particular order:

Keeping the pool and yard up (my personal little tropical paradise).

Little League Baseball.

Anything on the beach - specially fishing and Mich Lites (had to switch to Lites as the britches were getting very tight) .....

Love my dogs (Doberman - Huey; Yellow Lab - Clapton)

Listening to good ol' Southern Rock'n'Roll.

Volunteering for anything to do with saving the ocean (Sponsors at Dolphin Research Center, Grassy Key; Sponsors at Juno Beach Marine Life Center, Juno Beach - that's in your neighborhood Unc; and also a sponsor at Freinds of the Ocean in Petaluma, CA)

Wife and I are captivated by Dolphins - swim with them every chance we get.

Our annual trips to the Keys. Couldn't make it through the year without 'em!

And last but not least - looking for an available waterfront B&B to buy so I can get the hell out of corporate America!!
