I went to Flavor 5 in November at the Metrolina Expo and it was completely unprofessional bullshit. The flyer stated 4 lines for no waiting and made it out to be some awesome event. Instead the crowd had to wait an extra hour and a half in the freezing cold not in four lines, but two lines that had to merge into a huge clusterfuck to fit into a 6 foot wide fence. Very uncomfortable. Once inside things seemed okay until my girlfriend and I had to use the restroom. There were portapotties that had no lights in them at all. I went in four different portapotties and there was shit and piss all over the place in all of them and my g/f said that it was about the same for the female portapotties. We had to use glow sticks to be able to see in there. Baby Anne did not show up, she had the "flu". Flu in this sense means that she probably showed up, saw the setup, laughed, and left. The sound system sucked, the bouncing ball room was outside in 20 degree weather, there was one green laser light shining out onto a silkscreen. Slick Rick and his DJ talked a lot of bullshit most of the time while they were trying to line up their beats and figure out how to do a live performance. I thought when Kimball Collins finally came on the stage he was going to pull us out of that hole and he did, but the Phunkodelic promoters came out once or twice in the MIDDLE of his set, stopping and talking over the music saying things like "Okay this is Kimball Collins, America's number one trance DJ, are ya'll ready, are ya'll ready? Give it to them Kimball!" The music is not supposed to stop, and if you are going to stop it to run your mouth, don't stop the headlining act please. I heard that Flavor 6 was about the same though I did not go and I will never again attend a Phunkodelic party. I HATE HATE HATE to see my Carolina brother and sister ravers get jacked like that. My small group of friends and I have traveled all over the US raving and having a blast and this was hands down the WORST party we have ever attended. It made us so sad to see this kind of crap.

FLAVOR SUCKED. IT JUST GOES TO SHOW THAT NC CANNOT PARTY. THE LINES SUCKED, FOR TWO HOURS IN 20 DEGREE WEATHER KIDS WAITED. The last Flavor at the NC was the best party I have been too, after 51 shut down. NC knows how to party. Phat lightshows, and DJ's. The best DJ out there was DJ Funk, and Total Science. Don't stop having Flavor Man.

Yes, I was there last year when Slick Rick was there and yes, it sucked that DJ Baby Anne did not perform, but I still had a blast and I rolled my ass off too! The cops didn't even bother me all night despite the fact that I was VERY high! All in all, I don't get out much, and I love most all NC parties. I will be there again this year if I don't go back to jail first! Someone get me high again this year, please!

flavor 5 was also my first party. i think it was the fuckin shit and it is still like a dream in my head today. the breakdancers were the shit. but i do agree it was not a very good first impression standing in that fuckin line. although i did round up my disco biscuits for the night right there. i wanna say they were tulips. back to story, every reasonable source on this page said it sucked, therefore i cant imagine or wait to go to one of you guys' parties. i live in charleston, sc. everyone probably knows our parties suck. we just now started getting some decent djs (baby anne, icey, ak1200, deiselboy, dara), huda hudia also came but the fuckin cops are so nosy flumptiuous that everyone from outta town is scared to come. even the djs. well i will be attending flavor 8 this weekend. Nothing could have been more dissapointing that the "rave" at The Office in Charlotte. It was Baby Anne's release party and besides all the fakes pretending to rave, it was more like any other night club. Sorry to also report that two hours before the "party" was suppoused to end, everyone started to walk out. NC is going down the tubes.

The problem in the firsat place is that you all live in a shithole called the southeast. I lived there and partied there for a while until I got enough common sense to move to a state that at least had a "city" in it. If you are serious about underground music "wich ends up in the southeast five years after everywhere else" then move to a real city! N.C. and S.C. are full of nothing but ghetto raver kids that go home to trailer parks and smoke swag and cut as pills that people would spit at in a real city. You redneck ravers suck!
