I have a VCD which is supposed to have english and cantonese subtitles. How can I turn on subtitles using Xing or anything else. Thanks for the help.

I have a VCD with the same; I don't think it's subtitles, I think it's the soundtrack. Ch1 is English; ch2 is Cantonese. The MPEG-1 used for VCD only allows for a video stream and an audio stream with two channels for the latter, unlike MPEG-2 for DVD and satellite. There can be subtitles but they are together with the video stream, which means they can't be turned on or off or for that matter changed. By the way it'll be cool for a VCD to have an English and a Cantonese soundtrack; in all that I've seen so far of the type, it's Mandarin and Cantonese.

thanks for answering my post. You've affirmed what I feared track 1 is cantonese and track 2 is mandarin. The are no subtitles. It is false advertising.
