Renee, West Union is in Doddridge County in the north central part of the state. About 70 miles southwest of Morgantown, 45 miles east of Parkersburg. There is hauling available. I imagine it is a per mile charge. They have a website. Do a search under Second Wind Adoption. Email at secondwindadopt@aol.com Office (304)873-3532 stable (304)873- 3030. They also have some of the horses listed at horseclassifieds.com. There is an application process. Friend who adopted last year says all the horses are coggins tested. They also have horses located in other states that they are trying to place. Some of these show horses also come with free lifetime breeding from the owners.

Renee, West Union is on US 50, 20 minutes west of Clarksburg. From Cumberland MD, go west on I 68 to I 79 south to the Clarksburg exit on US 50, go west on 50 to West Union. Would be about 2, 2 1/2 hours, from Cumberland. I don't know where you are in MD, I was born and have family in Garret county MD, which is the western most county in the state, also the most beautiful I think ! It's an easy haul with a horse trailer, good roads, not hard to find. We have horse friends in West Union, WV., perhaps they might know someone to haul for you. I'm two hours north of West Union, not far as the crow flies, but bad, curvy roads between, or I'd offer to haul for you. Good luck, go for it !!! Annie in SE OH.
