Sksgafoss, Iceland

Sksgafoss ("forest falls"), Iceland. Minolta X-570, 35mm Shift CA @ f/8.

"Forest falls" is somewhat of a misnomer, as Iceland is notoriously short of trees. Sorry the image size is a bit over the limit, but I'm 400 miles from my copy of Photoshop.

That should be "Skogafoss" with an accent over the o, but apparently Phil's server don't like Icelandic.

Christian,

Did you want this shot this dark? I keep my monitor a bit dark but a quick look at the levels in GIMP says you don't have much in the highlights. I don't know how close the scan is to the original but I think some brightening helps this shot a lot.

I have a mixed reaction to this shot. You have an incredible rainbow and waterfall but something still seems to be missing -- perhaps detail on the right side of the falls or a bit more interesting foreground?

Is it my imagination or is there a double rainbow?
