Thousands of property owners in San Francisco
may not receive their tax bills in a timely fashion and
could face penalties if they fail to pay them on time,
the city treasurer has warned.

In addition, a computer glitch may have knocked off
the homeowner's exemption on some tax bills,
which if not caught could be a $79.52 loss to the
taxpayer.

"We've got a pretty bad problem," City Treasurer
Susan Leal said.
