Which Wires Do I Cut To Make a PECO Turnout DCC Friendly?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Wiring for DCC : One Thread

I'm getting ready to make my Peco turnouts DCC friendly according to Allan Gartner's liturgy, but am not absolutely certain which wires on the back I should be cutting. Is Allan referring to the wires near the frog, or the smaller jumpers about halfway down? Hope someone can help.

Cut the wires near the frog. I HOPE my drawing indicates that.

Of course, it seems as soon as I upload something to my website, manufacturers change something. Since it's been a long time since I've uploaded the stuff on Peco, they've had plenty of opportunity to change something. What's there now that is confusing things?

The goal of my cuts is to isolate the frog rails from the closure rails. These rails are labeled on my diagrams and should be easily identifiable.

Hope this clears things up!
