MELLOW

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

I don't know about the rest of you guys but I'm pleased with how mellow we've gotten.

When I came across TB my first and still very good friend was Old Git. Better online friend I'll never find. Her "Kick your ass Momma should you mess with MY chillins." attitude was neat. We wern't anybody's chllins but it was kinda nice to have an asskicker around.

My feeble contribution to potential y2k problems was worry and posts about 3rd party pay systems that impact retail pharmaacy. Never could get a straight answer. They all did just fine.

Other than that I just a soldier sticking up for the friends I'd made. Good war, bad war, wrong war, don't know. Doesn't matter. No apoligies.

The Vegas thing didn't turn me but reinforced what I'd expected. This is pretty good group of goobers.

Mostly.

Carlos my friend-

You sweet thing! You are a kind friend. I feel the same way about you. This community was strengthened by Vegas and the knowledge that we are real people, here for one another. You too, are a good goober. I'm glad I know ya!

"The Vegas thing didn't turn me but reinforced what I'd expected."

That's right -- for over a year I thought you were a great guy, and I was right :-) Meeting the rest of yaw'll (did I spell it right?!?!) was better than I could ever have hoped.

Yeah, we're all a pretty good group of goobers. And the best part is that when I read your all's posts, I can hear you now.

(Told ya I was gonna use it, capn.)

LOL Pat!!!,

That's another one of those little things I had forgotten about but was allready chuckling when I saw the bold type out of the corner of my eye.

But be careful"southernese"can be habit forming ; )

capnfun,

Do you have a southern accent? They say those of us from New Jersey have an accent but 'I' never hear it.

Its funny how when the assholes drop their multiple screen names, (notice how Netghost and Carlos used to ALWAYS post at the same time?) and start behaving, suddenly they are MELLOW.

Some people tried to be MELLOW the whole time, you funking freek, but the nazi bitches like Old Shit tried to silence everyone they disagreed with!

And you are *PROUD* you "stood up" for trash like that?!?

Huh. Go figure.

Yeah, your just a REAL GENTLMAN there, Carlos/Netghost.

Debra,

To put it mildly, yes! Unless,I put on my best radio voice and concentrate REAL hard.

What a HUGE crock of horse shit, served up by a moron boot-licker!

The nazi's at SLEZ Bored would rather be doin'

Mental

Fudge-Packing

Than deal with reality. The very FACT that they have to ban, censor, and delete those they disafree with shows that the picture painted of them on TBU is accurate!

To ESAD (AKA carlos@is.bullshitter, AKA everything under the sun):

I'm with Carlos. A friend is a friend. So why don't you just scuttle back to your porn sites, little boy.

Debra, the only NJ accent I've ever really noticed was from South Jersey -- towards the Philly area. THAT one is as recognizable (and distinguishable) as a NY accent ;-)

The good Capn has a twang that you could listen to for hours. (I don't remember hearing his "radio voice".)

I do have a Brooklyn accent, but not (usually!) as bad as what you hear on TV (the stereotype; though they DO exist -- sheesh). One of my favorite jokes was done by Rosie O'Donnell when she used to do stand-up (she was actually funny then). She said (in her best Brooklyn accent), "Suppose Einstein had been from Brooklyn -- who woulda taken him seriously?!?!".

Think about it :-)

Perhaps it's because I've traveled to too many places, or lived in too many places, or met too many people from other cultures, but I didn't notice ANY accent in either Capn's speech, or Patricia's speech. There's certainly a SPEED of speech that differs, but that's common from north to south. My ex-husband's grandmother was a REAL hoot when she came to Chicago from Florida, where all the old folks spoke REALLY slow. She just kindof moved her head back and forth for the first week, but by the second week, her hearing had sped up and she ended up going home each Spring wondering why those old folks in Florida spoke so slowly.
