I have a PSX 1 with an NTSC chip installed and I can play PAL and NTSC stuff. What more do I need to instore to play VCDs on my PSX 1? thankyou in advance -charlie

You would need a PSX VCD player... It's a separate box that you plug into the parrallel port of the PSX, it can only be used with PSX up to series 7xxx, the 9xxx series and the new PSone can't use em. There is another VCD player out there that has to be soldered into the PSX if you have one of the newer ones. The external VCD players cost about $40USD, you can probably get one at http://www.gamars.com but I'm not sure because I don't know if that's a real site, it's just the name of the company that makes the players.

How about PS2? Does that also need the Gamars card?
