Do you want it for seed or eating?Rye is hard to find around my area too (NE IN), however, there is one farmer who raises and sells it. He says he does not put anything on it, so I feed it to my chickens. When I want it for myself, I order 20-50 lb bags through a health food store. Organically grown.

I got a 50# bag of rye from an Amish bulk food store. They did not have it in stock but ordered it for me. That might be a possibility if you have any Amish bulk food stores near you. They are great people and have a lot of interesting things!

I believe Johnny's Select Seeds sells it. Try a word search for them.I live much farther south than you, but the feed stores here sell the rye seed for winter pasture. Have you asked at the feed stores?
